Remote MySQL Setup Error

Greetings All, I am running into a bit of a snag setting up a remote MySQL server, I've read the setup instructions line for line. **Note this is not Remote SQL as in white-listing IP addresses to access a database but rather off loading the MySQL work load to another server.** After inputting all of the standard information such as server address, ssh port, root, pass, etc this is the response I get. Both the database and CPanel/WHM servers are the latest Cent OS 6 brand new (minimal) out of the box with all updates applied and no modifications made other than their respective installations of MySQL(5.6) on the DB server and Cpanel/WHM on the web server. I have tried to research this both on these forums and standard Google searches and I've yet to find an answer or even a path to take for troubleshooting, I'm even finding it hard to figure out what logs to check to see even more specific data. I've considered submitting a ticket but right now I am on a trial to test this first to see performance before I make a final decision to make a full on purchase and thus be privy to ticket based support. Thank you for any insight that can be provided. :)

  You need to make sure the server is able to SSH into the remote MySQL server, as cPanel needs to make an initial connection to get everything set up. In the setup script for remote mysql, test the credentials you are passing to it to make sure they work.

  Vanessa, Thank you for your response! I've completed this action as well, the SSH connection is indeed able to be made between the two machines both ways with no problem. As well I've done what you said and purposely provided the wrong credentials and that fails as it should with the correct response, so it looks like the connection is being made with the proper credentials.
