FTP and File Manager speed
Hello,
I would like to ask, is there is some way to speed up FTP and cPanel File manager upload. Where and how.. Some commands for ssh, tweak settings or UI setting via WHM, any way if that is possible to control and setup on server side.
I have root access, it is dedicated server with WHM/cPanel. E3-1246 CPU, 32GB DDR3 RAM, 2x2T disk RAID 1,
Guaranteed Bandwidth 200 Mbit/s.
I do thank you, to all who answer this question.
Best regards!

Yes. Upload a zip file of files and unpack on server, instead of uploading many individual files. I'm only guessing that this is what you're doing (uploading directories of images for example) of course. You are limited by number of connections, here: WHM " Service Configuration " FTP Server Configuration 0 -
You didn't say what upload speeds you're getting. Have you checked to make sure you're not already reaching the limit that your local connection provides for upload speed which is likely a lot less than what your server can handle. Try going to /http://speedtest.net and see how your upload speed there compares to your FTP upload speed. 0 -
Thnks to all. My download speed (Internet connection) is 25.17 Mbps, my upload speed is 11.77 Mbps, PING is 10 ms. When I upload .zip file via File menager, average speed is about 330 KB/s. My server is connected -- Connection 1 Gbit/s-Port, Guaranteed Bandwidth 200 Mbit/s. Is that speed upload of 330 KB/s is OK (cPanel File manager upload function), or it should be higher with details I provided above. Thanks! 0 -
I forget. Server is Intel e3-1246 4 cores (2 logical per), 32GB RAM DDR3, 2 x 2 TB SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 rpm HDD Software-RAID 1 Enterprise-Klasse. 0 -
I suggest consulting with your data center to ensure there are no issues with your server's connection. The speed is not really related to the use of the cPanel/WHM software, but rather with your connection to the server. Thank you. 0
