SMTP tweak crashed server ?

My VPS crashed during the night. It's running : CENTOS 6.5 i686 virtuozzo " server WHM 11.44.1 (build 7) The host advised that this is due to the SMTP tweak causing a conflict, they have disabled it and restarted the server. Is that a known issue and if so is having the SMTP tweak disabled going to pose problems re spam relayers ?

  Hello, I've certainly never heard of a conflict with SMTP Tweak causing the server to crash. Please ask your host for proof of that as that really makes no sense.

  Hi @oldlock, As Peter said, SMTP tweak shouldn't make the server to crash. Are you referring "SMTP Restrictions" at WHM ? or the misconfiguration of the exim configuration ?

  It shouldn't cause a crash, however, a LOT of virtuozzo VPSes do not have the IPT_OWNER or IPT_STATE iptables modules needed for SMTP restrictions, and SMTP Tweak (or CSF's SMTP_BLOCK) will not work without those kernel modules.
