WHM Update Preferences hanging

All other pages in WHM and cPanel work as expected, but when I click on Update Preferences, the browser sits there forever, and the only thing happening is that the browser's animation is going that shows it's trying to load the page. In my case, it's google chrome, and the circle on the tab just keeps spinning endlessly.

  Hello :) Do you notice any output to /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log when this happens? How is the server load during this action? Thank you.
