System user converted to cpanel users

    Hello :) It's likely a better idea to simply remove the user manually, and then create a cPanel account for it. This way the user will still exist on the system, and the cPanel account is setup successfully. You may need to update ownership for files related to that application after re-creating it because the UID is likely to change. Thank you.

    Would it work if I created the cPanel account then did a userdel on user then install my application? Or would this mess something up in cPanel?

    You should not delete the user after creating a cPanel account. Also, you can not create a cPanel account with a username that already exists on the system. Ensure you backup any files/directories associated with the user before initially removing it in preparation for creating the cPanel account. Thank you.
