VPS Won't Upgrade?
Hi,
Not sure where to post this, so going for the off topic forum :)
Anyhow, a while back I installed CloudLinux onto my VPS. I decided to remove it after a while, however since I removed it the VPS won't upgrade to CentOS 6.5 - it's stuck on 6.3, no matter what I do.
Any ideas?
Liam

Hello :) What steps did you take to uninstall Cloud Linux and what errors do you receive when running "yum update"? Thank you. 0 -

I used the steps detailed at the cloudlinux site.root@sinister [~]# yum update Loaded plugins: fastestmirror Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile * base: mirror.kingshost.com * extras: mirror.nwresd.org * updates: mirrors.easynews.com base | 3.7 kB 00:00 extras | 3.4 kB 00:00 updates | 3.4 kB 00:00 Setting up Update Process No Packages marked for Update root@sinister [~]#

Please check your repository in: /etc/yum.repos.d Do you see the standard CentOS 6 repo files? Thank you. 0 -
Hello, You stated you followed the CloudLinux docs on uninstalling CloudLinux. Just to be clear, these docs are the ones you're referring to correct? 0 -

And what would the 'standard CentOS 6 repo files' look like? Liam [COLOR="silver">- - - Updated - - - [quote="cPanelPeter, post: 1711971">Hello, You stated you followed the CloudLinux docs on uninstalling CloudLinux. Just to be clear, these docs are the ones you're referring to correct?

I suggest opening a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look. You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you. 0 -
Ticket #5384481 0 -
To update, it looks like this was the result of a duplicate RPM that was installed. The customer was advised to resolve this with commands such as: rpm -e --nodeps --justdb 6-3.el6.centos.9 yum update
Thank you.0
