Lost incoming emails
Hi!
I have a big problem. We move to a new server, and configure to the maximum security to email (SPF, DKIM, firewall, cphulk).
After this, the email system is working good, but we cannnot receiving emails with a specific sender.
I check ALL log in the server (exim, mail, message, error, mail trace), but i not found any clue about these emails. I put the sender SMTP IP addresses to whitelist (access list), but not working. I use spamassasin with score 6, but i cant find any spam from the sender.
What is the error? Any sender can send emails normaly to us.
Thank you

Hello :) Try searching for the email address using the "exigrep" utility. EX: exigrep user@domain /var/log/exim_mainlog exigrep user@domain /var/log/exim_rejectlog
Do you notice any output for either of those commands? Thank you.0 -
Hi No output. I try to search partial of the address too, but no result. If this help the email address is: no-reply@email.skrill.com I check this email address with MXTOOLBOX, and i see the rDNS is not configured, but i put the SMTP IP addresses to whitelist. Thank you 0 -
I suggest having that user attempt to send mail to your server again. It seems like the delivery attempt may not have left the sending server, in which case they should receive a specific failure message when attempting to send. Thank you. 0 -
I trace the problem, and found another one. Our another server try to send email to us. The sender server log say: message accepted, but the receiving server has not accept the mail. The email address was forwarded to another email, and the forwarded message arrived. I turn off the SPF, and DKIM but the problem is same. The logs is not contains any clue... What is this? 0 -

Could you elaborate on this? I'm not sure I fully understand what you are describing. Thank you.0 -
Hi Michael! The situation is: Server A received emails normally, but some email cannot arrive. One of these emails came from our server B. Server B WHM Mail Delivery Reports log say: Message accepted. But the email never arrive to the Server A email box. I cant find any information about this in the Mail Delivery Reports. The Recipient email address has forwarded to another email address, and the forwarded email has arrive normally. But if is send email to not forwarded email address to Server A, that cannot arrive. 0 -

To update, the sending server had the recipient's domain name in it's /etc/localdomains file. Thus, the email delivery was made to the local server instead of the correct remote mail server. Moving the domain name to /etc/remotedomains resolved the issue. Thank you. 0
