Hello :) Are you sure the email is continuing to accumulate and it's not email that was delivered before the default address was modified? Have you selected the default address for each domain name associated with the account? Thank you.

Also, does your site send mail via forms, etc.? If those emails cannot be delivered they also go into the account's email.

The site might have forms, not sure it's a customer. What if we just redirected to the mx record to no where, could this disable all email? If we did redirect the mx record to go now where or the default email to not work. What would be a good no where location for the mx record? For example direct the mx record to an IP that is not live? My goal here is to just stop any email going to the default email on a server account? Ideally any added emails would work o.k.

To clarify, did you ensure you selected the default address for each domain name associated with the account? There is a drop-down box for each domain name, and you have to update the default address for each one. If so, you may also find a cron job that removes email from the default address location to be a useful workaround. Thank you.

Yes, the default email is set to fail: yet it is still filling up. If I wanted to clean it out, how can I do this? Is there a command or folder to empty for this?

This is important I think, you need to know. Once you do, you'll have your answer on how to resolve this. Under normal circumstances, no mail should end up here. When it does, there's something else not working, like a contact form for example. Looking at the email that's landed there to see where it came from, should be useful in solving this.

Thanks, yeah I realize it can be from other things, my hope is to not fill up this box with error messages or lost emails. It's a waste of IO's and resources. I would rather just avoid the emails all together if possible.

Fix the problem, that's really the best answer.
