Hello :) 1. You can create "*.domain.com" as a subdomain so that it's then considered owned by the account and the CSR generation is permitted. 2. The warnings that cPanel sends you for SSL certificates stem from the service certificates installed via: "WHM Home " Service Configuration " Manage Service SSL Certificates" Are you sure the certificates from this interface do not expire until 2017? Thank you.

Thanks for the reply, I meant the cert was set to expire 10/17/2014. I double checked and the date on the server is correct so no idea why it cannot count? Only thing I can figure is something haywire with the SingleHop SSL but they did not find anything either. FYI: In WHM Home " Service Configuration " Manage Service SSL Certificates" it did report the correct date the cert expired. That is what is so weird about this message. cPanel showed it did not expire for another 30 days (meaning the message should just now be starting). I think my cPanel/WHM has been borked since day one and in fact the SingleHop team told me they had to do a fresh rebuild because the first server they put me on (claiming they did a new build) failed. The problem with that is I found log files from 4 years ago, so it is obvious they lied to me and this is not a fresh rebuild. So I am really questioning the integrity of this server, is there any way to test a cPanel install to identify if it is in fact installed and setup correctly? I figured out that I can set the wildcard domain regardless of the warning and without creating a subdomain for *. Seems redundant that I should have to create a subdomain I will never use but then if that is what I had to do it would be prudent to have that also part of the tool tip.

Feel free to open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look at the certificate expiration issue. You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you.
