[Case 108233] mod_ruid2 + Apache Jailshell - Not working after reboot
Hello! I've had mod_ruid2 installed for a while, but never actually turned on the Apache Jailshell feature. I tried enabling the feature, I then switched the PHP to DSO and put all accounts in the jailed shell. I confirmed with df, this appears to have worked and all accounts seem to have mounted the virtfs and all websites were available.
Upon rebooting, only one or two accounts had virtfs mounts. The ones that did not have a mount were inaccessible via Apache. A workaround was to login to the system via SSH, 'su' into each user, once that happened then the virtfs mounts appeared and the websites worked like normal.
Can anyone think of why this happens? I'd like to use mod_ruid2 with Apache Jailshell for security. I can reproduce this and provide any logs that you might think would help.

I don't recommend using apache jailshell. We also had similar problems. Websites on the server were randomly going offline. It is a very unstable system. mod_ruid2 on its own is fine tough. 0 -
Hello :) The issue you have described is a known bug. For reference, the internal case number is 108233. Please monitor our change logs to see when a resolution has been released: cPanel - Change Logs The current workaround is to access SSH as each user after a reboot. Thank you. 0 -

Hello, people! Same problems for me. The fix is released for 11.46 branch, there is no fix for 11.44 at the moment. Always used '/scripts/rebuildhttpdconf && /etc/init.d/httpd stop && /etc/init.d/httpd start' as a workaround after reboot. 0 -

The resolution is included with cPanel version 11.44.2, but there is currently no exact time frame on when that build will be published. Thank you.0
