'MM' module adds 100ms to server response time. Is it needed / recommended?
I have discovered that if I remove the MM module (OSSP mm - Shared Memory Allocation) from EasyApache, the server response time is reduced by ~100ms when loading a typical CMS based webpage.
On a base install of the SilverStripe CMS I was getting about 300ms response time, after removing the MM Module it dropped to about 200ms.
I've read the docs page for MM, but I'm still not sure exactly what it does, and what effects it actually has on a typical Wordpress or SilverStripe website.
Any harm in leaving MM disabled?
