Excessive resource usage notifications
Occasionally I get notifications of "Excessive resource usage". Last night I got over 300 notifications while I was sleeping, all related to one of my websites. This is the message:
Time: Wed Sep 24 03:56:09 2014 -0400
Account: [my username]
Resource: Process Time
Exceeded: 12608 > 1800 (seconds)
Executable: /usr/bin/php
Command Line: /usr/bin/php-cgi /home/[my username]/public_html/index.php
PID: 21008 (Parent PID:20712)
Killed: No
I have also received "High 5 minute load average alert".
Time: Wed Sep 24 00:26:07 2014 -0400
1 Min Load Avg: 33.03
5 Min Load Avg: 8.99
15 Min Load Avg: 3.14
Running/Total Processes: 75/545
This particular website has only two Admins and both of us would have been in bed at the time these notifications came in.
Of course my concern is that someone has hacked into my server. Is this a possibility?
Any explanation why I would have so many of these excessive resource notifications within one night?
Thanks very much!
PS: I am now getting nine notifications a minute!!!!

Hello :) Is your server load high at this time? If so, please review the following thread: Troubleshooting High Loads On Linux Systems Thank you.0 -
Thank you. No, absolutely not. This is my concern and why I commented that only two of us are Admins and it started when we were both in bed. I don't have any cron jobs running. There is nothing that should be causing this. [quote="cPanelMichael, post: 1736941">Hello :) Is your server load high at this time?
