Unable to update the quota file (.ftpquota) when creating FTP accounts

Hello guys This is our new cpanel server. When users try to create FTP account they receive such error: (ftpuser is the username that customer choose for his ftp account) Error detected with pure-quotacheck for ftpuser [/home/user/public_html/ftpuser ]: Unable to update the quota file (.ftpquota): [Permission denied] What is the reason of receiving such error message? where is the ftpquota file to check its permissions and what owners and permissions should be set on that? ** Please note that although we receive such error message, but FTP accounts work without any issue and they will be created. This seems to be only issue with quota management of home directory of the FTP account. :confused: regards

  Hello :) What are the permissions/ownership values on the "/home/$username/etc/ftpquota" file for this account? It should be owned by the account username and have 0644 permissions. Thank you.

  Hello, I have the same issue. ftpquota is owned by the username and ran a "chmod 644 ftpquota" just to be sure... Still get the error. Jay
