Is it possible to create a txt record with a blank host name?
I have been asked to create a txt record for google verification however google asks to create it with the hostname set to @ or blank however this just throws up an error. The only way I can create a txt record is by using the domain name. That doesn't work for google verirfication as it seems it cannot detect the txt record.
Is there a way around this?
thanks

Hello :) What method are you using to create the "TXT" record? Please try with: "WHM Home " DNS Functions " Edit DNS Zone" Let us know the outcome. Thank you. 0 -
same problem here. WHM insists on appending the account's domain name, even if i add a dot at the end of google._domainkey 0 -
If you add a text record in DNS Zone of yourdomain.com, it can be either google._domainkey or google._domainkey.yourdomain.com. Those are the same. If you see instruction saying "set the hostname to @", that @ means the domain itself. 0
