.trash folder, how to empty it?

Helo, i found on my WHM server in /home/myusername/.trash is alot of files, how can i safelly delete them?

  Hello :) Those are files you have deleted through File Manager. You can use the "Empty Trash" option in File Manager to remove them, or delete them manually through SSH or FTP. Thank you.

  For emails, yes, you can browse to: "WHM Home " Service Configuration " Mailserver Configuration" Enable the "Auto Expunge Trash" option and choose how long you want deleted email to remain on the server if you want to automatically empty the trash folders. However, there are no native features available for the "Trash" directory used for File Manager. Thank you.

  Hi, Sorry to revive an old thread. I just started seeing warnings that my backups were failing. On investigation I found a huge number of spam emails. I deleted all of those from using webmail / Horde (also ensured I used 'Purge Deleted' option. Now when I check inode usage I find all those deleted emails lying in mail/.Trash/tmp Please see attachment.36721 Can anyone please guide me how to empty this out? Thanks a lot!

  If you have the ssh access then you should be able to remove emails from mail/.Trash/tmp directory, otherwise get in touch with your hosting provider and ask them to do this for you. :)

  Do you have root access to this system? If not, you can ask your hosting provider to remove these emails, or you can manually remove them from that directory via File Manager or FTP. Thank you.

  Thanks for the advice. I deleted the mail/.Trash/tmp folder itself. This helped empty the inode count. I hope this tmp folder would get recreated on its own and not cause any additional issues.
