FileETags on or off on WHM?
Hello, in Apache GLobal COnfiguration, there is FileETags set to None (for PCI compliance).
I want to ask if FileEtags makes website loading faster and server not overload more?
Im using mod_expires Expire rules like:
ExpiresByType image/jpeg "access plus 1 hour"
and i read in this post ETag is recommended to be set. But please tell me if its good idea on WHM server? the server has 7K RPM HDD which has quite alot of work regarding disk transactions per second.
Thank you

Hello :) I have moved this thread to our "Optimization" forum where you might receive more user-feedback. Note that you may find this thread somewhat helpful: PCI compliance and FileETags Thank you. 0 -
I think while i have Last-Modiffied response in response headers. Then i believe etag is not needed as it is very similar to Last-Modiffied in its function and resources usage. 0
