System backup files and directories

Is there are an automated way to restore the "System backup files and directories" generated by cPanel Backup? Or is it ok to just copy the backed up configuration files to the new server overwriting the existing files? I've already read about

  Hello :) You must manually restore the files/directories included in the system backup archive, as there are no tools available to complete this automatically. Note that rarely should you have to restore system backup files, as the account backups contain most of the relevant data. Thank you.
