Restoring mailman.bak

Hello All, So I'm trying to get myself out of a /usr 90% full situation. I'm reviewing this thread

    Hello :) Did you verify the Mailman is the source of most of the disk space usage? If so, then the instructions you are referring to are actually referencing a directory: cp -R /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman /home/mailman.bak
    This copies the entire mailman directory to "/home/mailman.bak" so you would just move the directory back into place if the change failed. Thank you.

    So i would cp -R /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman /home/mailman.bak then if needed I would mv /home/mailman.bak /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/ I really have no idea what im doing. copy and paste works best when it works. how do you copy and paste out of a bad situation when you don't know what you've done? :) [COLOR="silver">- - - Updated - - - Did you verify the Mailman is the source of most of the disk space usage?
    I have an email from your staff 31M ./include 1.7M ./kerberos 19M ./libexec 216M ./bin 12K ./etc 8.0K ./games 3.2G ./local 16K ./lost+found 911M ./lib 104M ./sbin 108M ./java 170M ./src 928M ./share 2.1M ./info 16K ./X11R6 24M ./i686-pc-linux-gnu 576K ./man 5.6G .
    He points me to the above mentioned thread and also recommend increasing partition size.

    sorry to appear to be a complete ass but, your guy emailed me again letting me know that none of the dirs on /usr are excessively full. only normal usage. So it would appear that the partition must be resized. Great. Looks like im 9% away from a server crash or whatever happens next. Grabbing coffee now. Gonna sit back and watch the show. I'm clearly not going to be resizing any partitions with my skill set. Thanks for the super quick response otherwise. John

    Hello! :) I've read the ticket, and agree with your Hosting Provider whom you quoted in your first post to the ticket. I believe cPanel Technical Support means the same, in his replies there as well. Probably not what you're hoping to hear, but there it is. Not sure I'd be sitting back with a hot coffee here, it's time to move.

    So I've enabled backups and disable legacy backups in WHM. I have configured backups and am running the backup now via cmd. I understand that next I will have an OS reload and the apply my backups. [COLOR="silver">- - - Updated - - - Is there a secure way to post the log file from the backup for someone with some skills to review and let me know if it's going to be a viable backup?? Thank You.

    No need really. That is unless you see something odd in it. If you do, you can post a snip of the odd part here of course. You'll know the odd stuff when you see it. TBH, jumping to a new server while the old one is still online, might be easier than backing up and waiting for a reload. Be sure to work closely with your Hosting Provider.
