Hello :) Have you checked to verify the usage that's not counted is actually from the email? For instance, are any of the files taking up space owned by "root" or "nobody" and thus not counted towards the quota? Thank you.

For instance, have you checked to see if any of those files taking up the space are owned by "root" or "nobody"? What method are you using to check the disk space? Is any of the email in the .Trash directory? Thank you.

The files aren't the concern, even if they are owned by root, the storage shows 4.8G which is what cPanel reflects, if it is missing some that might be owned by root is not an issue and is acceptable uncountable space. What isn't being counted are the emails, using a browser tool, I can bring up the list of accounts and the totals of what is stored in the accounts. I added it up and it comes to 4G

You can try recalculating the email disk space with a utility such as:
    /scripts/generate_maildirsize --verbose --confirm $username
    Thank you.

Hello Michael, I see where you're going now, and yes you are correct. The 4.8G is total with root files but cPanel is showing the 4G plus the 30MB of user files, thus it is correct. OK the gremlins are out of my head now [COLOR="silver">- - - Updated - - - OK now I want to take my words back about the uncounted space being acceptable. WOW root taking 4G Now you really put the gremlins back in my head.

You can update the ownership of those files to the account username if you want that usage included with the account's space total. Thank you.
