Your thoughts on Opcode cache and Apache handler?
Hi all
So I'm just curious, what opcode/apache handler combination do you recommend?
There seems to be a lot of conflicting or confusion information as to what's best these days.
People recommended SuPHP early on, for security, but that doesn't work with opcode caches.
Cpanel staff and users alike, have said not to use FCGI, because it can overload a server, but that does work with Opcode caches.
DSO is, I believe, insecure as all apache processes run as nobody
We now have a new handler called Mod_ruid2, which again, I'm reading conflicting reports on
People say it's insecure, others say it's not, it works with opcode.
So, assuming for a moment a customer has his/her own server, with their own sites, what set up would you recommend?
