No SSH keys in cPanel, previous files remain: putty/id_das & #.private.ppk
I've been getting my hands wet with SFTP and SSH (for Filezilla and VaultPress).
I deleted all keys in 'SSH Manager' & 'Manage SSH Keys', but the following files remain on the server, still:
.ssh/putty/xxxx.private.ppk
.ssh/putty/id_dsa.ppk
Extra: in /.ssh I have 2 authorized_key(s): authorized_keys, authorized_keys2; both a File Size 1KB and both are empty files. Why are there 2 of these files types?
Each time I test, I delete all keys from within cPanel and re-do from anew.
Can I manually delete these files? Should they be automatically removed after deleting all keys in cPanel?

Answer: delete all in putty (they're not auto-deleted in my case), and leave both auth..._keys alone as one will be repopulated in setting up new keys. 0 -
I am happy to see you were able to find the answer to your question. Thank you for updating us with the outcome. Note that internal case number 97725 is open to address an issue where in order to successfully replace keys in cPanel you have to manually delete files in the account's ".ssh" directory. Thank you. 0
