eth0 setup

We have some extra Ips, and we wanted to put some clients on one of the IPs. We set their domain to use the IP, however the site wont load or propagate to the IP. When we do a ping on the IP, it just comes up as request timed out. On WHM it shows the IP with eth0:cp30. Where or how do you set that up so that the IP works?

  @Mark_CFH, If you have root access, try the below command and verify whether the IP assigned properly or not. # ifconfig If so, remove the IP from whm and try re add again or else use the below command to add additional IP. # ifconfig eth0:XXX yourIP netmask your netmask
