Post WHM 11.44.1 (build 21) update, cpbackup shows errors
Everything was fine until last night when the server upgraded to 11.44.1.21. Then I saw this in the cpbackup log:
I really cannot afford to have a production server failing to back itself up properly. Clues on how I proceed to rectify the matter? Edited to add: MySQL was updated to 5.5.40 during the cPanel upgrade. I assume that is related.
/bin/gtar: /var/cpanel/sessions/temp_Cpanel\:\:Mysql_.datastore: Cannot stat: No such file or directory
/bin/gtar: Removing leading `/' from hard link targets
/bin/gtar: /var/cpanel/dnsadmin/sock: socket ignored
/bin/gtar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
[cpbackup] Failed to perform full backup of var/cpanel to backup/cpbackup/daily/dirs_var_cpanel.tar.gzI really cannot afford to have a production server failing to back itself up properly. Clues on how I proceed to rectify the matter? Edited to add: MySQL was updated to 5.5.40 during the cPanel upgrade. I assume that is related.

Hello :) Is this happening on every backup generation? For instance, if you force a backup generation via "/usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup --force" do you notice the error message again? Thank you. 0 -
Hi, Michael. I guess I needn't have worried. The following backup completed without errors. Sorry for the noise. 0 -
I am happy to see the issue did not occur again. Thank you for updating us with the outcome. 0
