Code Editor is not displaying correct selection

[I've attached screen shots, can get more if needed] I'm working in chrome currently, however this has happened to me before in firefox (hence the move to chrome). The line I'm editing is not what is selected. Depending on the length of the file depends on where the selected line shows up in the code. Makes it very confusing to keep track of where I'm at and what I'm editing. I feel like I've clicked something on my keyboard to cause this because it was doing just fine until my fingers got tied up but I'm unsure what was clicked and I've done random combinations and havent found a solution. Any ideas? I've searched the forum and haven't found anything remotely close to my issue. Thank you!

  I do not have a hostname or or access id... I use imhosted.com who has cpanel offered.
