Setting up my VPS to route mail
Hi,
Could someone possibly help me out on this one. I am basically trying to set up a few email addresses on my VPS so that I can use a client like squirralmail, horde or roundcube (I am not sure if it's easier to configure something like Thunderbird) whichever is easiest.
Ideally I would like to have it routed so that the IP will always come from my VPS and stay constant on all email headers.
I am really new to the whole VPS thing and have a little experience with cPanel so any explanation might have to reflect that.
VPS is running Linux
Thank You in advance :)

Re: NEWBiE - Setting up my VPS to route mail Hello :) If the email accounts are created on the VPS only, it will use VPS's main IP to send emails (whichever is set as shared IP). Once the email accounts are created, you should be able to access them from Squirrelmail/Horde whichever is configured to use. You will also be able to configure the accounts on ThunderBird. 0 -
Hello :) Please also take a look at the following thread, as the IP address of the end-user is also added to the headers: Removing IP from Mail Headers Thank you. 0
