Best cpanel configuration for single website
Looking for some best practices advice on setting up a CPanel config for a single high traffic website. This is going to be a dedicated server environment. I guess mostly I am looking for input on is there a better way to configure CPanel that runs better for a single site versus what we would normally do for normal hosting environment.
This will be going on a quad core with 8GB Ram. Lots of traffics.

It totally depends upon the traffic as you mentioned that your site is having heavy traffic then apache is not capable to handle it completely and it will crash. In this case I will recommend you to go with nginx as a reverse proxy of apache with varnish or you can go with litespeed also. 0 -
Hello :) I just wanted to note that of the suggestions referenced in the previous thread, only LiteSpeed is officially supported: [url=http://blog.cpanel.net/litespeed-web-server-now-supported/]LiteSpeed Web Server Now Supported | cPanel Blog Thank you. 0 -
If I am reading correctly both ngix and light speed require an additional licensing on top of the CPanel licensing is that correct? Also while I may think that 50,000 uniquie visitors a month is heavy (it is one of our bigger customers) it may be nothing for apache. 0 -
Yes, both are third-party applications so you would have to review their websites to review the license requirements.
