DNS to domain IP or server IP?

My domain is on a different provider to my server My server of course has an IP address My domain has its own IP address on the new server Should the A record at my domain provider be set to my server address or my domain address

  Hello :) Ensure the "A" record points to the IP address associated with your hosting account (the location where your website files are hosted). Thank you.
