  Can you let me know the site you are trying to access using temporary link is wordpress/Joomla site ? If yes then it is not possible to check the site using temp url it will give error. If still you want to check that site then add that domin name and server IP in your local machine hosts file so that your local machine will ping that domain to that IP and you can check the site how it look from new server. Also, I will suggest you try disabling PHP open_basedir Tweak setting.
