forwarding emails by wildcards like Gmail does
Hello,
I need to create a wildcard forwarding to forward emails sent to
user.1548987@domain.tld
user.skjdhfgsg@domain.tld
user.o948kokjo@domain.tld
user.ANYTHING@domain.tld
to
someuser@domain.tld
I found this thread but it's old... I'm going to choose CPanel instead of another manager for my VPS and I need to know if the solution provided in message #4 of this thread is really working... Could somebody confirm the information please ?
Thank you very much in advance !!
Best regards,
Trucmuche

Hello :) Have you considered using a domain forwarder instead? Domain Forwarders Thank you. 0 -
Hello ! Yes but this has a big drawback to me : I cannot use prefixes ! I would like to be able to use prefixes : all emails sent to user1.ANYTHING@mydomain.com are forwarded to someuser1@domain.tld, all emails sent to user2.ANYTHING@mydomain.com are forwarded to someuser2@domain.tld and so on... I don't want that emails sent to info@mydomain.com or contact@mydomain.com (or plenty of other traditional email addresses used by spammers) to be forwarded... and I don't want to have to create all theses email accounts manually simply to avoid the spam sent to those addresses. This is why I loved the regex solution ! :-) 0 -
Account level filters do support regular expressions if you prefer to use filters instead. This is documented here: Filter Configuration Options Thank you. 0 -
Thank you very much ! I'm more and more convinced to install CPanel... 0
