Migrating from a shared host where SSH not enabled
Trying to migrate from a shared host to our own VPS via the "Copy an Account From Another Server With an Account Password" option.
Host does not have SSH enabled on port 22. They have opened up SSH on port 47926 for us, but the cpanel transfer still failed with "....reported the "EPERM" (1) error when it ended."
Is there a way for the transfer process to access port 47926?
Can anyone suggest the best method for us to migrate the account?

Hello, If you want to migrate only few account then I will suggest you generate the backup through cPanel and copy that to you VPS server. On your VPS server you can restore that using /scripts/restorepkg command. 0 -
Thanks. While it is only one account at the moment, I may well end up shifting another dozen or so over the next few months and was hoping for a one-click solution. Spose I'll just have to use the method you described. 0 -
Hello :) You will need to consult with the hosting provider of the remote server you are transferring the accounts from. It's possible that provider has implemented firewall rules that restrict connections. Beyond that, generating the backups in cPanel on the source server is the best alternative. Thank you. 0
