Load average
Most of the time they are around 1 each but sometimes, now a bit longer they are much higher. How should I read this, is this for example a problem amount
Load Averages: 7.72 7.23 6.45
Or is it only 7% load. If I look at the processes and try to kill one it does not exist. Can I find why it is 700% higher now or should it be no problem to begin with?
Thank you

Hi, That would be 7 times the load as 7x1=7. Please see the following article on CPU load vs usage: -- [url=http://blog.scoutapp.com/articles/2009/07/31/understanding-load-averages]understanding load averages -- Not to be rude, but if you do not understand load averages, I think you may find it difficult to determine the cause of the load. From SSH, you may use the `top' command to monitor processes: -- [url=http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2010/01/15-practical-unix-linux-top-command-examples/]15-practical-unix-linux-top-command-examples -- Alternatively, you could try WHM > Home "System Health "Process Manager. Ultimately,to determine the cause of load, you may need to ask your host for help or submit a ticket to cPanel. Thanks, 0 -
Hello :) The following thread is useful if you want to troubleshoot the load: Troubleshooting High Loads On Linux Systems Thank you. 0 -
I will recommend you to check /var/log/dcpumon folder. It will take the screenshot of top command every minute you can check that folder which domain/user is eating up server resources. 0
