Signing in to cPanel 11.46 often takes much longer

Logging in should be almost instantaneous. On my oldest, crappiest server, from the moment I click the popup to fully loaded cPanel is about 5 seconds. WHM, 7 secs. That server is a turd. 3 accounts, very little traffic. Depending on your server specs, number of accounts, traffic to them, load, etc. surely, it would take a bit longer. What kind of load is on that server? I think I'd look there first before looking at 11.46 as the cause. My 2.

Many thanks for your input. In our case, the sign-in delay does not appear to be related to server load. We are seeing this happen with a CPU load of between 1 and 3. This is on an E3-1245 quad-core with hyperthreading and SSD boot drive on which cPanel is also located. We have tried switching between the x3 and Paper Lantern themes, and the issue persists either way. We have also tried running /scripts/upcp followed by a server reboot, just for good measure, to no avail. We do find that this is primarily caused by an unusually long loading time of the welcome page in cPanel. The other pages in cPanel appear to load relatively smoothly. It's just the welcome page that often takes many seconds to load, regardless of the selected theme. Note that by long loading times, we do not mean the individual page elements like images, but way before that, from when the browser performs a page request, to when the very beginning of the page itself starts loading.

Might it be domain related issues? Not sure. But you know who can help more precisely? cPanel Technical Support. :) Why not open a ticket to cPanel and link to this thread, provide as many details as you can in ticket, and let them login for a closer look. Can't hurt to have them take a closer look.
