]I am very unhappy. cpanel will not update because it requires 3 gig space i have had dedicated servers since the 1990's and my blue rackshacks. i have utilized cpanel for 14 years. Our problem is that the planet, owned by IBM,and two other noc centers, set up our servers. they all have 8 + gigs of space in /usr. So it goes to say that 1.6 gigs was the old update and more than likely none of these major companies set up more than 8 to 9 gigs in usr. because it is now 3 gigs, i would think the 16 gig recommendation is recent? To implement cpanel on a server, I WOULD BELIEVE THAT IBM AND two other companies we use, would have made the /usr directory 16gigs.. IF THAT WAS RECOMMENDED.AFTER ALL we have plenty of disc space.. so, what i am asking is: after removing 2 gigs of data from usr, WE ARE STILL 700 megs over. is there a way to transfer files/directory out of /usr to /var then back? OR MOVE CPANEL OUT OF /USR? taking 5 servers off line to enlarge usr is simply a great difficulty. rock THANKSIN ADVANCE

sorry i posted this when there is an ongoing thread..
