selinux and cPanel
I am a touch confused by the documentation for installing cPanel. I have used the CentOS Quick Install ISO to install the OS and cPanel/WHM. When I run sestatus it states that the "permissive".
When I look at the documentation for installation I see:
"If you installed an operating system from a source other than the cPanel & WHM installer, perform the following actions to make cPanel & WHM compatible with your system."
"Disable SELinux security features"
It then states that cPanel/WHM are not compatible with selinux. Seeing as I have used the cPanel installer I would have expected the sestatus to return "disabled" but it does not. Is this a mistake on my part? Should I be manually changing this to "disabled"?

Hello :) This is by design. Permissive mode is acceptable and should not result in any issues on your system. The only impact you should notice with permissive mode is the additional entries in /var/log/messages. Thank you. 0 -
Thanks for that. Has certainly ruled out selinux being the cause of my issues. 0
