New Install - can't connect to whm web interface
I just downloaded http://repo.cloudlinux.com/cloudlinux/6.6/iso/x86_64/CloudLinux-6.6-x86_64-DVD.iso
and installed using the defaults
now I have rebooted and run /usr/sbin/clnreg_ks and yum update
but I cannot log in at https://xx.xx.x.xx:2087/
I get attempt to xx.xx.x.xx was rejected
I bought the license for both cloudlinux and cpanel

Just ran /usr/sbin/clnreg_ks --force still getting: connection attempt to xxx.xx.x.xx was rejected. 0 -
Hello :) Are you logging in with the "root" username? Have you verified the same credentials work well for SSH? Thank you. 0 -
I cannot log in with any credentials if the web server won't serve a page up. credentials do work for ssh I also tried 1) service stop iptables 2) disabled selinux [COLOR="silver">- - - Updated - - - I just thought of something, I chose the defaults when installing CloudLinux ISO that I obtained from cpanel due to lack of direction from the documentation. Maybe I should have chose web server? Very frustrating. [COLOR="silver">- - - Updated - - - Maybe I'll go reinstall...I have never in my life experienced a paid product more frustrating than WHM & Cpanel. 0 -
The documentation is pretty much straight forward: Installation Guide - cPanel Documentation 0 -
ok so since the documentation doesn't specify whether to go with the default which is minimal install OR the optional web server install, could you clue me in on the correct choice? Thanks Scott 0 -
I will just do the reinstall, probably faster than getting an answer here. The results are, choosing web server does not in fact solve the problem. 0 -
By your posts here, it reads like you're having a bad day. How can I help? You'll do the minimal install of the Operating System, and then run the cPanel installer. That will take care of everything else needed to get you up and running. Of course there's partitioning to consider, security to take care of once you're up and much much more. You're a long way from completing this, no need to get frustrated so early in the process. One you get done, you'll look back and smile at how much easier it was than you're thinking, right now, I bet. I will just do the reinstall, probably faster than getting an answer here.
Let me know where you're stuck at and I'll stay here all day and help you. Ease up though.0
