Account Restore Error
I hope I am posting this in the correct section.
I am trying to restore a Full Cpanel Backup, which is a .......tar.gz file.
I first created a new Cpanel account, lets say example.com
I uploaded the full backup file to the /home folder of this account.
The functionality start restoring the file correctly, but at the end I get the following error message (I deleted some of the server info, replacing it by xxxxxxxxx:
I assume I need to delete some registers from the Apache configuration, but being a newby and being a little afraid of affecting other websites on the server I'd thought I'd better ask here first :)

Hello :) I noticed you created the account before attempting to restore it. Please move the backup archive back into the /home directory itself, terminate the account, and then attempt the restoration again. Thank you. 0 -
Thanks Michael, I did create the account before attempting to restore it. I put the backup archive in the account itself, in it's /home directory. If I need to terminate the account and move the backup archive back into the /home directory, I assume you are referring to the servers home directory? If thats the case I guess I need root FTP access to the server, correct? I do have root access to the server but have never been able to get FTP access to the server itself, only to each individual Cpanel.... I guess it has something to do with settings of the server, but before I look into this I will await your confirmation if this is the right path to take :) Many thanks!! 0 -
You could actually use SSH access. EX: mv /home/$username/backup.tar.gz /home/
Then, after you terminate the account, you can restore it via:/scripts/restorepkg /home/backup.tar.gz
Thank you.0
