Question about forwarders and auto responders
Hi All,
Hoping someone can shed some light on this.
Background
- Let's say I have two e-mail addresses martin[at]olddomain.com and martin[at]newdomain.com.
- OldDomain is hosted off our server. NewDomain is on our server.
- martin[at]olddomain.com is actually a forwarder to martin[at]newdomain.com
Issue
I want to ensure their autoresponder triggers when email is sent directly to martin[at]newdomain.com but not when forwarded from martin[at]olddomain.com
Context
I have a hosting client in this situation. When with a previous host (who also used cPanel) the auto-responder did not trigger.
How do we achieve this now?
Thank you! Hope I explained clearly enough!
Martin

Have you had a chance to read the docs on Auto Responders? Autoresponders - cPanel Documentation 0 -
Hi, yes I have thanks. But the normal auto responder settings don't deal with the question I have in this situation, because you can't force it to not trigger if an e-mail is forwarded from a different e-mail address to one set up with an autoresponder. Any other documents you would recommend? 0
