Problems with FORWARD Mail
Hi,
I forward in cpanel the messages received by user@DOMAIN-A to user@DOMAIN-B
The problem is the cpanel doesn't really forward the message it copy/relays to the other domain the message. If the forwarder domain (user@DOMAIN-B) have, for example, SENDERID configure the mail is rejected.
Mail forward, for me, means the mail received by user@DOMAIN-A is resent by him to user@DOMAIN-B. In the mailbox user@DOMAIN-B the message should be from user@DOMAIN-A and not from the original sender. It should work the same way like when we forward a message received in Outlook or other mail client.
Please advise.
Best regards,
Daniel Pereira

Hello :) That's not how email forwarders are designed to work with cPanel/Exim. You are welcome to submit a feature request for a change to this behavior via: Submit A Feature Request Thank you. 0 -
Hi, How can I configure cpanel_exim_filter or other kind of configuration to forward messages like a email client (outlook). Thanks, Schottkey 0 -
There is a post here that explains how to setup a custom filter rule globally: Exim - Custom Filter File You would have to change the individual rule to match your specific criteria. Thank you. 0 -
Hi, Thanks very much for your reply. The problem is I want to forward a mail to another server. For example, the sender A@AAAA.COM sent an email to B@BBB.COM, and the EXIM FILTER forward the message to C@CCC.COM. The AAA, BBB and CCC domains are three different servers. The "unseen deliver" option (EXIM FILTER) configured on server BBB will add a recipient to the email sent by AAA.COM, and the server BBB wil sent the email to CCC.COM. The problem is the BBB.COM is not a permitted sender (SMTP) for deliver messages from AAA.COM and CCC.COM will refused the messages resent by BBB.COM as AAA.COM sender (SMTP). So, to overcome this problem, I would like to use EXIM_FILTER or other kind of configuration to FORWARD the message. For example, B@BBB.COM will resend the message sent by A@AAA.COM to C@CCC.COM. The "From" field of the forward message must be B@BBB.COM and not "A@AAA.COM" when the message is deliver by BBB to CCCC. Also, the original message could be attached. Please advise. Thanks and best regards, DP 0 -
You don't have any solution to the problem? So, will you then remove the Forward feature in cPanel as it will not work as it is supposed to? 0 -
Hello :) It's working as intended from the information I was able to obtain. I recommend opening a support ticket so we can take a closer look, and verify it's not operating differently than it has in the past, or to ensure there's no an isolated issue with your system. You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you. 0 -

To update, it was determined that Exim is operating as intended. However, internal case number 158457 was opened to determine if there are any potential solutions to better handle the fact that forwarded emails may be blocked by some recipient servers due to SPF policy. Thank you. 0
