CpHulk vs CSF
Is it recommended to use one rather than both?
I find mixed feelings about this on the net.
cpHulk seems to take a lot more resources as it uses mySQL?

cPhulk is a mess. It can lock you out from accessing your own server very easily. Just use CSF. Hopefully they add a feature to cphulk to not lock-out root, this would fix the worst issue with it (locking out legitimate admins during brute force attacks). cphulk will be a bit better once it starts blocking IPs in the firewall, but this is redundant anyway if you're using CSF. 0 -
Hello :) Yes, this is discussed on the thread that you have referenced: cPHulk vs CSF Note that you can review some of the new features planned for cPHulk in cPanel version 11.48 at: [url=http://features.cpanel.net/responses/as-a-server-administrator-i-want-cphulkd-to-better-mitigate-brute-force-attacks-so-that-i-can-enhance-security-on-my-system]cPHulkd to better mitigate Brute Force Attacks | cPanel Feature Requests Thank you. 0
