is your site currently hosted on a cpanel server if so take a full cpanel backup & SCP to your dedicated/vps server and restore it with with WHM "Restore a Full Backup/cpmove File" wich one is better VPS hosting or Dedicated Servers?
it all depends on the specs most cases dedicated servers will be more powerful as yo usually have more resources but not always

Hi :), You may go through below links for details of VPS and Dedicated server: [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_server]Virtual private server - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Managed_dedicated_server]Managed dedicated server - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Summery is, if your website is not using much resources then you can choose VPS to save money compared to Dedicated servers. If you are current using cPanel on Shared hosting, then you can have cPanel License on VPS or Dedicated server. Which also one of the differences. cPanel VPS license is cheaper than that of Dedicated server cpanel license. So its up to you to select VPS or Dedicated server. Best of luck :).

Hello, To answer the migration question, you can use cPanel's Backup Wizard (on the shared server) to backup the entire site, download the backup file to your local computer, then log onto your new VPS (or Dedicated Server) and upload/restore the backup file. Then go to your DNS Provider (usually the registrar) and change the IP address (A record) to point to your new server.
