Swap used over 90%

I got a notice from a server that had a problem with chkesrvd running out of time and a high load message. I checked the server in whm which had already settled down, but noticed Swap was used was over 90% so I ran: free and got. total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 7974 6890 1083 0 83 2680 -/+ buffers/cache: 4126 3847 Swap: 2047 1908 139 I'm wondering what I can do to track down what's causing the problems. I without a dedicated server admin at the moment so, am flying a bit by the seat of my pants.

  Hello, You will have to continuously monitor your server process with the top and ps aufx command. With these command you can find out process which are using high memory on your server.
