Hello :) Could you let us know which version of cPanel is installed on this system? There was an issue with counter creation in the past (case 82789) but that's been resolved since cPanel version 11.44. Thank you.

Internal case number 82789 was addressed in cPanel version 11.44.2, which made it's way into version 11.46. It's not included in the version you are using. Have you considered upgrading to version 11.46? Thank you.

Hi Michael I was not planning on upgrading to 11.46 - but- if it will solve the counter issue-I will upgrade. Will the STABLE version be ok? Thanks Audrey

Yes, the "Stable" build tier is at version 11.46 so the resolution is included. Thank you.

Hi Michael I upgraded to the 11.46 stable version and the counters will now let me set up new counters-but- they will not let me reset the number of the counter. When I try it says Error: cannot reset counter. I have tried when logged into control panels with the root password and with the user password - no luck Please advise Thanks Audrey

Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you.

To update, internal case number 134709 is open to address the problem with resetting the counter. The temporary workaround is to empty the counter manually with a command such as:
    echo "0" > /var/cpanel/Counters/username-name.dat
You can monitor our change log to determine when a resolution for this case has been published: cPanel - Change Log Thank you.
