ISP blocking website?
Hey guys,
for some reason, my website isn't working. I think it's just my ISP because I tried on 3G using an iPhone 4S and it works fine. Someone else with the same ISP can't connect either. Don't know why. All other websites on the server work fine. I have a VPS and I self host it so I can't really contact my host for help. Can't ping. Can't traceroute, can't nothing. Any ideas?

So after a bit more research, I discovered I can access my site using a proxy. That being said, the site IS NOT down, it's the ISP blocking it. Only question is.. Why? I haven't done anything wrong or worthy of being blacklisted. 0 -

Whats this mean exactly? You're running a server from home? So after a bit more research, I discovered I can access my site using a proxy. That being said, the site IS NOT down, it's the ISP blocking it.
If it can still be accessed, but not by you, normally, I might be inclined to think you're blocked in the firewall, or cPHulk.0 -

I rent a VPS from a hosting company. It is an unmanaged VPS so I'm in charge of it (can't send them a support ticket). I disabled CpHulk and this did nothing.0 -
Did you flush/clear failed logins? Have you checked your firewall to see if you're blocked? If yes: That being said, the site IS NOT down, it's the ISP blocking it. Only question is.. Why? I haven't done anything wrong or worthy of being blacklisted.
You might want to contact your ISP and ask if they're blocking you from a web server / IP address that your site is on. I can't imagine that being the issue here though, not sure why you would. Being on an unmanaged VPS doesn't mean you can't contact your Hosting Provider about connection issues to your VPS from your local IP address.0 -

firewall on server or on windows? I did flush logins. I also sent a ticket to the host and they said it's probably a DNS problem but google it.0 -
On the server. If you can connect via a proxy connection, I don't think its a DNS issue, do you? Have you checked your DNS with a site like intodns.com for example? Might be time to find a better VPS provider. You get what you pay for I guess. 0 -

DNS check went well on intodns.com. It seems weird to me since this website has worked for an entire year on this VPS and then this randomly started happening.0 -

Do you use temp blocking in CSF or do you block permanently? 0 -
CSF? The issue seems to be fixed by the way. 0 -
ConfigServer Firewall. It's the most popular firewall for cPanel on the Web. If you're not using it, you should consider it. 0
