Emails on another cpanel account
If you have emails on the same cpanel account as a domain where you also host a website, hackers could get access to all emails if they manage to hack the website. So it would be better to have emails on another cpanel account. But I find it's not possible to have mail@domain.com on a different cpanel account than where domain.com is hosted. Any solution ?

Hello, Yes, it is possible to have a mail server with different cPanel account which is on different server, this can be simply done by creating/adding an MX record of your mail server on your hosting server. 0 -
Yes but why can't it be on the same server ? I have to set up another server to achieve this ? 0 -
Hello :) Emails are not stored in the public_html directory, so keep in mind that a hacker would have to get full access to your cPanel account username if they wanted to access your email. There's no supported functionality to keep email stored on a separate local account unless your website is a different domain name or subdomain. Thank you. 0 -
They uploaded webadmin php script to image folder. When I tried it I could see all files in the cpanel account. 0 -
You are welcome to submit a feature request to have email accounts stored separately via: Submit A Feature Request Thank you. 0 -
Good idea. Thanks for your advice, I must consider about what you said. 0
