    Hello, Have you verified your back up logs on your server? You can find the logs @ /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup/xxxxxxxxxx.log Or else you can force the back up by using the command, /scripts/cpbackup --force

    Wiredtree Support helped me out as it looks The underlying issue was that CSF, the firewall frontend, did not have port XXXXX open for outbound connections. I've opened it up in CSF's configuration file, and was then able to both connect using SFTP from your server.
    Will the forced Backup also transfer the files to the new destination? Kind Regards

    Hello, Yes, the forced back up transfer the files to your configured backup destination.

    Hello :) I am happy to see you were able to address the issue. Note that the other poster's advice about forcing a backup is referencing the legacy backup system. You must use the updated command to force a backup on the new backup system:
    /usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup --force
