Uploading custom made 404html

Hi guys, Computer novice here.. I downloaded a custom 404 error template page which i customised in Dreamweaver to suit our website, however I am a little unsure as to what i do next. i uploaded the folder containing the 404.html. images files and css files into cpanel but i don't know what to do next. I also tired to open the html file to see if it will at least open but all the images were missing and i noticed the address bar was referring back to my computer directory. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  Hello :) You will need to modify the image sources in the HTML page to use the correct paths (E.g. /home/username/public_html/images/123.gif or /images/123.gif). Then, use the "Error Pages" option in cPanel to insert the custom HTML data: cPanel - Error Pages Thank you.
