Securing cPanel Powered Server
How much secure is a server with CentOs - cPanel installed?
After some configuration in Panel following the tutorials and csf install.
This is relatively safe? Or the server need all the extensive harden things to make it secure like any other server without any panels?
It's only install cPanel, modify some configuration and go to the beach, take a vacation? (lol) :D
Thank you.

I love the beach. The docs should be of some use to you: Security Advisor - cPanel Documentation Recommended Security Settings - cPanel Documentation Tips to Make Your Server More Secure - cPanel Documentation [Tutorial] Interested in increasing the security of your server? Read this. (sshd hardening) - cPanel Forums While you take a look at those I'm heading the beach. ;) 0 -
Before leaving to beach, don't forget to Add cloudlinux and config server exploit scanner (CXS) also to your server they are must for a server when talking about security. 0 -
What others harden actions on yours servers you take on the initial configuration/hardening to go to the beach more quiet? In cPanel and servers/services in general? I'm using now suPhp with Bluehost.com-provided patch enabled via EasyApache. I know, this is not ideal, but... Unfortunately, I can't pay one more licence to add cloudlinux. Thank you. 0 -
Did you review the "Security Advisor" option in WHM to see the recommendations? Thank you. 0 -
Yep. All actions in these links are taken. 0 -
There's no single guide that will list every possible step you can take to improve server security. It's a learned process that most administrators are constantly adding to and modifying based on new or improved threats. There's no substitution for a qualified system administrator that manages your server's security. Thank you. 0
