cpanel plugin keeps re-installing itself

Frequently, I get errors that `upcp --cron` has failed because this rpm cannot be installed: - cpanel-perl-514-munin-1.4.7-10.cp1136.x86_64 When I go to the WHM interface, in Home "cPanel "Manage Plugins, I see that munin has the checkbox turned on for "Install and keep updated". I turn this off, watch as it performs a 'fix-rpms' task, then I return to the "Manage Plugins" page to make sure the checkbox is turned off and click "Save" to make sure. Then one or two days later, I get the message that upcp has failed again, and when I return to Home "cPanel "Manage Plugins I see the checkbox is turned on again. I've done this more than once to each machine, and it's affecting more than one of the machines in my care. AFAIK nobody else has access to WHM/cPanel, and I've told it to notify me whenever someone authenticates with WHM, so I'm certain there isn't a co-worker that is perversely meddling with this. How do I uninstall munin and prevent cPanel from re-installing it? Is there a logfile so I can detect what or who is doing the re-installing?

  I'm taking long to respond because I am making sure I have all of the details correct when I file the bug report, but this problem shows up only once per day and maybe not every day. It does show up repeatedly on different machines in different hosting facilities on different hardware, so I do feel it is worthy of examination.

  Perversely: the four machines I've been watching closely have not had the problem, but EIGHT other machines at two different facilities in my care did flip the 'install munin' bit to true in the 48 hours I've been watching. I'm still gathering data.

  To update, I notice you are waiting to see if running "/scripts/update_local_rpm_versions --edit target_settings.munin unmanaged" addresses the issue. Feel free to update this thread with the outcome. Thank you.

  I didn't use that script, I edited /var/cpanel/rpm.versions.d/local.versions by hand, but it's the same effect. After adding "target_settings: munin: unmanaged " I haven't seen any of those cpanel instanaces re-installing munin despite humans telling it not to in the web interface. So: success.
