Backup Disabled But 34GB
I've been getting Diskcritical warnings today and just took a look at what's causing the issue. It turns out that with 79GB allotted to /dev/xvda /, 34 GB is being used by /backup even though backups were disabled.
How can I free up this space safely?
Thanks!

Hello :) You can access your server via SSH and browse to the /backup directory to verify which files are stored there. You can safely remove any backup archives if you do not require them. Thank you. 0 -
Thanks. Just wanted to double check before I did something stupid. These files were pretty old. It seems they weren't an issue until something else filled up xvda. Is there a way to increase the amount of space that's allotted to it? It's currently assigned about 40% of the total drive. Or is that preferrable? 0 -
Nevermind that last question. I got it covered. Thanks again. 0 -
You might want to consult with your hosting provider about allotting the space differently, as it's not really advised to do that on your own without system administration experience. Thank you. 0
