FTP, TLS and public_html dir
I have a FTP user account I created where the path is set for /home/myacct/public_html. I am only able to view files when encryption in FileZilla is set to Only Use Plain FTP.
If I create the account with the path /home/myacct/public_html/myname I can view files as normal using TLS.
Is this normal?

Hello :) Could you verify if you used the "Configure FTP Client" option in cPanel or if you manually configured FileZilla? Internal case number 144029 is open to address an issue where settings downloaded for FileZilla through the "Configure FTP Client" option in cPanel are wrong and don't allow for connections. Thank you. 0 -

I have tried it both ways with the same result. In order to use TLS what should the settings in Filezilla be set to?0 -
You should not have to use any special settings in Filezilla other than prefixing the host with "FTPES://" for "explicit" FTPS, or "FTPS://" for the legacy "implicit" FTPS. Feel free to open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look. You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you. 0
